FIVB Beach Volleyball Swatch World Tour 2012 – PAF Open – Aland

After the Olympics the best women will be gathered again during Paf Open. Don’t miss out on the exciting matches starting already on Tuesday of the tournament week. At Open events on the tour as Paf Open the format of the competition is double elimination. It could seem complicated sometimes but lets try to explain it in a simple way. If you lose one game from the first round to quarter final you will get one more chance. If you lose two games you are out. It is single elimination from semi finals. This means that losers in quarter final 1 and 2 will get another chance in quarter final 3 and 4. OK, so it’s not easy to explain it in a simple way. Countries with more than 4 teams applied need to play
qualification games against each other, called Country Quota.

A maximum of 64 teams compete for 8 spots in the main draw.
